📖 The Story of Devshayani Ekadashi

Devshayani Ekadashi marks the beginning of Chaturmas, the four sacred months when Lord Vishnu goes into Yoga Nidra (cosmic sleep) on the serpent Shesha in the ocean of milk. According to the Padma Purana, this is when the Lord rests, and devotees intensify their spiritual practices. The name comes from 'Dev' (God) and 'Shayan' (sleep). It's also called Ashadi Ekadashi in Maharashtra, marking the famous Pandharpur pilgrimage.
